Delta Brac Housing Corporation Ltd. known as DBH formally launched its branch office at Kumarpara of Sylhet to provide its services including home loan and various deposit schemes to the city dwellers.

Chairman of DBH Mr. Faruq A. Choudhury inaugurated the new office at a ceremony held at the office premises. 

Now the city dwellers of Sylhet will get services of DBH through its new branch office. The company will offer home loans to purchase an apartment, construct a home, extend or improve existing home or buy a housing plot from the approved land developers. Currently, DBH will also be offering attractive deposits including profit first deposit, cumulative deposit, annual income deposit, children deposit, easy home deposit.

Regarding launching of the branch Mr. Faruq A. Choudhury and Managing Director Mr. Q. M. Shariful Ala replied various questions of the journalists. The function was also attended by Director of DBH Dr. Kabir Hussain Choudhury.

Mr. Faruq Choudhury said housing is next to food and cloth amongst the basic needs of people. DBH is contributing to create employment as well as development of the country by providing home loan.

He said DBH is the pioneer in house finance in the private sector and continue to hold its top position since its inception. It’s a great honour for us that Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh (CRAB) awarded highest “AAA” to DBH evaluating its performance. 

Managing Director Mr. Q. M. Shariful Ala said the annual demand of housing is increasing rapidly in the country and Bangladesh needs over 4 million new housing units over the next 20 years. He said even since its inception10 years ago, DBH has been focused on priority the growth of home ownership in the country. 

He said DBH is relentlessly trying to contribute to the best of its ability to meet the growing demand through its home loan product. “The Sylhet branch of the company will help the city dwellers to get the facilities of different deposit schemes and especially home loan which will make enable a person or a family to fulfill their dreams of owning a house,” he hoped.

The branch office has been set up as part of the company’s plan to expand the area of providing its service to six divisional headquarters in phases. DBH, the specialist in house finance is providing services including home loan and various deposit schemes through its six branches and a sales center at Dhaka and Chittagong.
