DBH donates semi-permanent umbrellas for the traffic police of SMC

As part of social
initiatives Delta Brac Housing Finance Corporation Ltd. (DBH) has donated a
number of large sized semi-permanent umbrellas along with smaller hand sized ones
for the traffic police of Sylhet Metropolitan City (SMC) who performed their
duties in different points of the city to ease traffic congestion.
Managing Director
of DBH Mr. Q M Shariful Ala handed over the
umbrellas to the SMC Police Commissioner Syed Towfique Uddin Ahmed at a simple
ceremony held at the latter’s office recently. ASP Wahidul Islam and ASP Akter
Hussain and DBH head of Communication and Marketing Dominic D’ Cruze and DBH
Sylhet branch Manager Habibur Rahman
were also present.
DBH, a leading
financial institution with highly reputable of local and foreign investors
including World Bank’s private sector affiliate International Finance
Corporation (IFC ) has take some social initiatives with a view to keeping its
contribution to the social sector. Donating umbrellas for the traffic police of
SMC is also a part of the company’s social initiatives.
Managing Director
of DBH QM Shariful Ala
said DBH will not only provide house finance for the city dwellers of Sylhet,
but will also take programme in the social sector. The company has already
provided finance to an international NGO to build low cost house for the low
income people of Dhaka city, he added.
Mr.
Shariful Ala
said the umbrellas will help the traffic police who performed their duties in
tough condition under open sky amid scorching heat and rain.
